Kohima, August 10 2017:
The NPF Zunheboto Division strongly supports Dr.Shurhozelie, the only legally mandated President of the Naga People's Front who was elected in the NPF General Convention on November 26, 2014, and which is placed on record with the Election Commission of India till date.
The Division appreciates and honours his leadership qualities during his short reign as Chief Minister of Nagaland, such as:
i) To undo the Corruption system in the Government, he refused to protect Mr.Pillai and his scandal, which effected the Exodus of Ministers to Kaziranga, shedding their political differences to topple him from Chief Ministership.
i) His refusal to sign false bills of more than 15 crores each to some Parliamentary Secretaries in their respective departments, which effected them to head to Kaziranga Camp.
iii) His insistence to reduce the departmental percentage deduction from the schemes & plan works is also one factor, which increased the number of MLAs in the dissident camp.
v) Approved more than Eighty (80) cabinet agendas within three months or so which were lying pending, some to the extent of years.
v) He himself set an example in punctuality and work culture in the Governing and Administrative system in the secretariat, so that the entire state machinery could emulate his system.
vi) The V.I.P Protocol free was introduced by inviting Ministers down to public in matters of interview in his secretariat office chamber from 10 Am to 4-5 Pm, is something which has to be cherished and followed suit by one and all.
vii) The ULB Turmoil in the state was pacified and matters brought back to normalcy.
viii) The approval of seven 7th Revision of Pay in the state for Government employees.
The Division appeals and requests the voters across the state to elect their representatives, who are determined to eradicate corruption and enthusiastic in building our state like Dr.Shurhozelie.
The Division urges the Central Government to call back the Governor of Nagaland, who preached against the corruption and he himself misused his chair in a partisan manner to install BJP-favoured Government which is unbecoming of a Governor and unconstitutional.
The Division also appreciates the NPF CEC decision to sever ties with BJP, the political wing of RSS.
The RSS trying to dominate over minor religions and in declaring India a Vedic Hindu nation is on its zenith under the protection of BJP Government.
Secularism in India, which is enshrined in the constitution of India, is under attack and destruction, and a day may come when it might be rewritten as a Vedic Hindu nation, which is one of the main objective of RSS in driving the BJP.
Therefore, the NPF political party's Decision in severing ties with the BJP is itself a decision to protect secularism of India, where Naga electorates should support the stand taken, to protect the rights of our future and the generations to come.
