Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long (TAKL) demands release of Irabanta

Imphal, July 19 2012:
The southern Tangkhul students' body, Tangkhul Aze Katamnao Long (TAKL) has strongly condemned the abduction of Irungbam Irabanta of Nongdam Maning Leikai and appealed to the organization involved in the abduction to release Irabanta at the earliest possible without any harm and before the matter goes too far.
The whereabouts of Irabanta has not known after he left for Ukhrul to meet some people.
Though the family members suspect the hand of NSCN (IM) in the abduction, the Naga rebel group has refuted its involvement in the act.
In a statement, President of TAKL Shimthar Jajo said that such dastardly act of abduction is condemnable by all and TAKL does not appreciate not consider it a wise step.
The statement also appealed to one and all to leave such unwelcome culture of abduction behind in today's civilized society.
