State unit NCP celebrates 15th B'day

The 15th Foundation Day of NCP, Manipur Pradesh was celebrated at the new office complex of the party at Keishamthong Elengbam Leikai here today.
The function was attended by MLA L Ibomcha; ex-Minister N Biren, ex-Minister C Doungel and Azizur Rehman, Vice President of NCP, Manipur Pradesh as presidium members.
Newly recruited members of the party which include C Doungel, Shokhulul Mate, Ningbai Gangte, M Nabachandra, among others were also honoured on the occasion.
Speaking at the function, MLA L Ibomcha stated that with corruption prevailing in every sphere of our lives, all hopes and expectations of rooting out corruption from the State appears to be a distant dream.
As such, there is the urgent need to come up with a specific legislation which could reduce the level of corruption in the State.
In fact, such legislations have already been set up in other States of the country.
He further stated that with an aim to bring about good governance in the State and to see that our elected MP of the Outer Parliamentary constituency do not doze off during Parliamentary session, NCP state unit has decided to bring up C Doungel as the candidate for the Outer seat in the Parliamentary election due next year and the decision has been intimated to the party's high command.
