Imphal, May 07 2022:
Punya Motors Private Limited promoter and director Andy Mangsatabam has clarified that staff of his company did no wrong during the April 30 incident relating to land dispute that happened at Shine IRCA (Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts) being operated by Integrated Women and Children Development Centre (IWCDC).
Strongly refuting media statement of IWCDC secretary Annie Mangsatabam alleging staff of Punya Motors.
Private Limited manhandling women staff of IWCDC during the April 30 incident, Andy said that the whole incident can be checked from CCTV footages and his company's staff did nothing wrong.
Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club here on Friday, Andy said that Annie Mangsatabam is his elder sister and both of them are fighting a court case over dispute in distribution of properties left by their parents.
The statement made to media by Annie Mangsatabam regarding the April 30 incident was an attempt to divert the land dispute case and brand his company's staff as women and children attackers, Andy said and termed Annie's allegation as baseless and unfounded.
According to Andy Mangsatabam, Shine IRCA is a treatment centre for male drug addicts and there is no female client at the centre.
There is no point that this land cannot be utilised by his elder sister Annie.
However, he sought court's help to de register the land transferred in Annie's name and re-name it to their mother's name, Andy said, adding that everything could be settled with mutual discussion as it being a family matter.
Punya Honda general manager Ch Kanan, who also attended the press conference, said that local Meira Paibi and women were present during the April 30 incident and staff of the company did no wrong.
