Civil bodies submit memorandum to Governor

Imphal, July 14 2026:
Representatives of the Tamil Sangam, Gorkha Sena, and the Manipuri Muslim Council.
Moreh, called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Lok Bhavan today.
During the meeting, the delegation submitted a memorandum highlighting hardships being faced by the people of Moreh, said the Lok Bhavan in a statement.
The delegation apprised the Governor about shortage of medical professionals, medicines, and scarcity of essential commodities in Moreh resulting from the ongoing economic blockade.
They raised concerns over the rising prices of essential goods.

Earlier, Prof Krishnan Baskar, Director IIIT, Senapati along with Kailun Lupheng, Managing Director, Manipur Police Housing Corporation Ltd also called on the Governor at the Lok Bhavan.
They apprised the Governor of ongoing initiatives and developmental activities being undertaken by the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Senapati and discussed matters relating to infrastructure development and other key areas of interest.
