Seminar of VCs, Registrars of Central Universities held at MU

A two-day seminar with the Vice-Chancellors and Registrars of all Central Universities and the Ministry of Education (MoE) funded deemed to be Universities of the North-Eastern States was held on May 6 and 7, 2022 at Manipur University (MU) .
The seminar was graced by Dr RK Ranjan Singh, Minister of State, Education and External Affairs, Government of India as the chief guest, said a press release by PRO, MU.
Kamini Chauhan Ratan, Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education addressed the opening remarks.
While delivering the inaugural address, Dr RK Ranjan Singh stated that the seminar of academia and intellectuals of the region will unfold the true potential and strength in contributing works, and views towards building a new India.
Vice-Chancellor of Central Universities namely Professor N Lokendra Singh, Manipur University, Professor Pardeshi Lal, Nagaland University, Professor Prabha Shankar Shukla, North Eastern Hill University(NEHU), Profesor Saket Kushwaha, Rajiv Gandhi University, Professor Avinash Khare, Sikkim University, Professor V K Jain, Tezpur University, Professor G P Presain, Tripura University, Professor Prakash Mani Tripathi of IGNTU, Professor Hardeo Singh Yadav, Director, NERIST, officers from the Ministry of Education, Government of India namely Kamini Chauhan Ratan, Joint Secretary (Hr.
Education), Dr Jitendra K Tripathi, Joint Secretary (UGC), Viswajit Kumar, Director (UGC) and Vijay Kumar, Under Secretary (Hr.
Education), registrars of different universities and other distinguished invitees attended the seminar.
In the technical session, the Vice-Chancellors and representatives of respective universities delivered their past experience and vision of their universities, added the press release.
