AMMWA presses for Passport Office in State

Considering the problems being faced by the people of the State while going all the way to Guwahati for applying Passport, All Manipur Muslim (Meitei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMMWA) has pressed the Chief Minister for setting up a Passport Office in the State.
Addressing media persons in this connection at its office in Babupara today, MA Janab Khan, President of AMMWA, stated that with the Regional Passport Office located in Guwahati, the people of the Manipur have been facing a lot of problems while trying to acquire Foreign Passport.
Considering this, AMMWA submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister urging him to do the needful.
At present there are 37 Regional Passport Offices in India and if a Passport Service Centre is set up in the State, the problems of the people will be solved completely, he added.
