Free medical service in Chandel

Anallon Christian Development Committee (ACDC) Lambung Chandel organised a one day free medical service and counselling on general health check-up,dental care and diabeties screening test in collaboration with Chakpikarong CHC Chandel, Penang Adventist Hospital, Malaysia; Adventist Hospital, Aizwal and World Diabeties Foundation Denmark today at CHC Chakpikarong.
L Wolring, Chairman of Anallon Christian Development Committee said that such free medical service and counselling was organised for the economically deprived people of Chakpikarong area who were not able to afford to get the treatment outside of the Chakpikarong sub-division.
On the otherhand, a press statement of president of Anal Naga Chiefs' Association, Chakpikarong sub-division, RD Thumdal said that Chakpikarong PHC was upgraded to a CHC in 2012 and the same was announced by the Chief Minister.
However, it has not been inaugurated as community health centre till date.
The chiefs' Association have also submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of chandel during District Level Organisation(DLO) meeting held on December 4, 2012 at Chakpikarong with a reques to inaugurate Chakpikarong PHC as CHC and provide all facilities.
However, the people of Chakpikarong sub-division are very disappointed to know that the concerned authority of the state government has ignored our humble reguest for such a long period.
The statement further appealed to the Health Minister for immediate inauguration of Chakpikarong community health centre and provided the required facilities at the earliest possible.
