Imphal, January 03 2023:
All Naga Students' Association, Ma nipur (ANSAM) has sought clarity on the stand of the government of India vis-a-vis the Indo-Naga peace process.
In a release, ANSAM president Luikang Bruce stated that it is appalled by the double standard policy of the government of India concerning the Indo-Naga political issue.
Even after signing the Framework Agreement on August 3, 2015, the government continues to target the Naga political leaders to derail the hard earned peace process.
This is seen from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), New Delhi, letter (No RC 01/2010/NIA/DLI/22635) in which one can find the order issued on December 22, 2022 by the deputy commissioner Ukhrul seeking record on movable and immovable properties of GPRN/NSCN Naga army chief Anthony Shimray, who is also the coordinator for the Indo-Naga Peace Talk, it asserted.
ANSAM further derided that this is a sinister policy designed to demoralise the Naga army and undermine the peace process.
