Imphal, January 03 2023:
The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) is "appaled" by the "double standard" policy of the Government of India on the Indo-Naga political issue, it said today.
Even after signing the Framework Agreement on August 3, 2015, the Indian Government continues to "target" the Naga political leaders to "derail" the hard earned peace process, ANSAM said its president Luikang Bruce in a statement.
This attitude of the Government of India is seen in a letter of the NIA (National Investigation Agency) New Delhi which sought record of movable and immovable property of Anthony Shimray, chief of the Naga Army GPRN/NSCN.
This is a sinister policy designed to demoralize the Naga Army and undermine the peace process in particular, ANSAM said.
The student body, in the statement, also sought clarity on the sincerity of the Government of India regarding the peace process.
