Ruong-le-Vaisuo Unau Suopui Cultural Festival to commence from Jan 12: Dr L Fimate

The Ruong-le-Vaisuo Unau Suopui Cultural Festival, a festival of 26 communities, will be held at Ruonglevaisuo under Pherzawl district from January 12 to 14, Dr L Fimate, chairman, Ruonglevaisuo Unau Suopui Cultural Festival has shared.
Dr L Fimate made the statement during a press conference held at his residence in Langol.
Speaking to media persons, Dr L Fimate stated the communities that allegedly originated from Rounglevaisuo (popularly known as Tipaimukh) have reportedly been found scattered in the states of Manipur, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura etc.
These communities share similarities in their language, songs and dances, indigenous games/sports and so on, Dr L Fimate claimed.

Further, he shared that Governor La Ganesan will inaugurate the Ruong-le-Vaisuo Unau Suopui Cultural Festival.
Dignitaries including Robert Romawia Royte, Minister of State, Mizoram; Dr Lorho Pfoze, MP, Manipur and Lalthlamuana, Chief Executive Member, Sinlung Hills Council, Mizoram will grace the festival with their presence, Dr L Fimate added.
It is worth noting that cultural troupes from twenty-six different communities including the Aimol, Anal, Biate, Chorei, Chiru, Chothe, Hmar, Kharam, Koireng, Kom, Lamkang, Purum, Ranglong and many others will present various performances during the three-day festival set to conclude on January 14 .
