Manipur will benefit from Act East Policy: Le Yucheng

Chinese ambassador to India Le Yucheng on Saturday stated that Act East Policy initiated by the Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre will bring benefits to Manipur.
During an interaction with media persons at Classic Grande, Chingmeirong, Le Yucheng said that since Manipur is a beautiful State, tourist spots like Loktak Lake needs to be promoted at the global level.

The Chinese ambassador said that there should also be cultural exchange programmes between India and China to further cement relationship between the two neighbouring countries.
He said talks are underway to bring an amicable solution on the international boundary issue and both India and China are also initiating plans to open border trades, added Le Yucheng.
He further stated that the Act East Policy will benefit the entire Northeast region of India including Manipur.
He also said many students of the State are studying in China and expressed his delight in visiting Manipur including the polo ground.
