Training to scale up routine immunization concluded

A four-day long training programme for District community mobilisers on the theme "training of State Master trainers on social and behaviour change communication trainings for routine immunization" concluded on Friday at Conference hall, Hotel Nirmala.
The training programme was organised by National Health Mission in association with UNICEF and Envision institute of Development.
Delivering his speech, State Health Mission Director Okhram Ibomcha pointed out that the immunization rate in the State has been lagging behind to the national level.
The State has only 54 percent against 65 in the national level, he said.
He said that the training programme was organised to improvise the routine immunisation and to overcome the social barriers and myths.
Chief Executive Officer of Envision India, Varsha Chandra lauded that the trained community mobilisers will become master trainers at the district level.
The district level master trainers will share their knowledge to the grass root Health workers, ASHA and Anganwadi workers.
The grass root health workers will give awareness on routine immunization to the children parents.
Varsha said that earlier the training were given to the Chief medical officers and District programme managers on social and behavioural change communication training for routine immunization.
