Imphal, November 28 2015 :
Expressing jubilation over the victory of BJP in the by-election to Thangmeiband and Thongju ACs, BJP Manipur in-charge Prahlad Singh Patel has asser-ted that the victory has laid a strong foundation of a BJP Government in Manipur after the State Assembly election which is due in 2017 .
A felicitation function of victorious candidates Kh Joykishan and Th Bishwajit was held today at BJP office, Nityaipat Chuthek.
Speaking at the gathering, Prahlad Singh Patel conveyed gratitude to the people of Thongju AC and Thangmei-band AC for electing the BJP candidates in spite of all the money and muscle power exercised by the ruling Congress party.
Condemning all the rowdy acts committed by Congress party, Patel congratulated BJP Manipur Pradesh leaders for ensuring a grand victory of the party in the face of many anti-democratic activities carried out by Congress party.
The by-election has sowed seeds of a BJP Government which would be thriving on the soil of Manipur after the next State Assembly election.
As such, it's time for all BJP workers and supporters to start due preparations.
Condemning the act of disrupting a victory march by opening fire, Prahlad Patel questioned registration of suo motto case while rejecting written complaints filed by election agents at concerned police stations regarding the particular violent incident.
BJP would not remain silent if due investigations are not done after registrations of separate cases for each and every wounded victim, Prahlad said.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba said that they faced a very hard time in their battle against the Congress party which has 48 MLAs, three MPs and all the money and muscle power at their disposal.
Non-Manipuri voters who left the State on account of threats issued by Congress have only started returning.
Even as there was casualty when some unidentified persons opened fire at the residence of a BJP supporter on the eve of the by-election, no case was registered.
Moreover, no police case has been registered till date even after many people were injured when some people opened fire at a victory march.
Such is the discriminatory and partial attitude of the Congress Government.
BJP would fight relentlessly against such misgovernance of the Congress party, Chaoba asserted.
