Imphal, February 20 2019:
DESAM has conveyed that during an inspection trip in collaboration with AIMS to various Class X examination centres in Imphal East and Bishnupur district today, the volunteers came across some cases of unethical practices at Thanga High School, Bishnupur and Heingang High School.
Speaking to media persons at DESAM office at Tera today, its secretary general Sheetal Oinam said that the volunteers of the two student bodies came across unfair means during the examination at Thanga High School, where photocopies of answer sheets were being thrown inside the classrooms.
Sheetal continued that in a shocking twist, the police personnel, exam OC, invigilator and examiners who were posted at the school, were allegedly turning a blind eye to the whole situation.
Even when approached with the facts, the exam OC failed to control the situation, he claimed.
He further alleged that a three men flying squad of BOSEM came to the school and even seized some of the said papers but only some students were detained for a while before they were allowed to continue taking the exam again.
He continued that on the other hand, DESAM and AIMS volunteers came across a student cheating during the exam at Heingang High School (Imphal West) and detained him.
