SDSA warns of agitation if agitating teachers' impasse not settled

The Joint SSA and RMSA Teachers, Manipur, Senapati Zone continues to agitate with the office of the ZEO, Senapati being sealed from February 8 last till date.
The agitating teachers of the SSA and RMSA staged the protest to denounce the inaction of the Education Department for not paying their month salary and demanding to find a solution for them.
While the Joint SSA and RMSA Teachers Association, Manipur, Senapati Zone has been agitating and picketing the office of the ZEO, Senapati today, a team from the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA), the apex student body of the district visited and took stock of the situation by meeting the aggrieved teachers who were agitating in front of the ZEO Office, Senapati.
Mention may be made that the agitating teachers had halted all office works in the office hampering the normal functioning of the ZEO office of the district till date, bringing it to a standstill especially when the class X and XII Board and Council examinations are going on.
In consideration of the prevailing situation and the stakeholders involved, the student association asked the concerned authority of the State Government to look into the matter at the earliest so as to bring to an amicable solution without ransoming the career of the students' community.
A press statement issued by the Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) today, Kaikho Hopeson Mao, president, SDSA, warned of taking up stringent course of action in the interest of the students' community if the impasse continues without being solved between the two parties at the earliest.
