'High time to implement ILP'

Imphal, June 27 2011:
If the Inner Line Permit system is not implemented in the state, there will be a major clash between migrants and the indigenous people of the state, said CPI State Secretary Dr M Nara in an interview with reporters at his home at Singjamei Thongam Leikai.
He said that it is high time for the state to implement the ILP system.
It will help in controlling the regular flooding of citizens from other states of the country.
If the issue is not discussed now when there is the time to do so then a major clash is sure occur in the near future.
The system was already implemented in the state in the past.
He said, his party will propose the issue in the upcoming state assembly session and will support it if other parties bring up the proposal.
