Memorandum submitted by JAC against killing of Suosan Koireng

Even as the JAC constituted against the killing of T Suosan Koireng has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister, different bodies have strongly condemned the incident.
In a representation submitted to the Chief Minister, the JAC demanded for punishment to the culprits.
Saying that the deceased was the bread winner of his family, the JAC demanded for compensation of Rs 5 lakhs to the family of the deceased and a suitable Government job to the next of kin/near one.
It also urged the Government to take up measures to maintain harmony at Utonglok and Dolaithabi areas.
The JAC further warned that it would initiate democratic agitation if the Government fails to fulfil the demands.
Meanwhile, Koren (Koireng) Youth Organisation, Manipur and Utonglok Sporting and Welfare Association strongly condemned the killing of T Suosan Koireng of Utonglok village by unidentified persons on the night of June 15 .
Shuosan's body was recovered from Iril river on June 24 .
Utonglok Sporting and Welfare Association said that it would extend support to the JAC constituted against killing in any future course of action.
