Imphal, February 26 2015:
Reacting to Manipur Governor Dr KK Paul's inaugural address of the 10th Session of 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly, the proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has rebutted the Governor's claim of PREPAK and some other valley-based outfits signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) readily with the Indian Government.
According to a statement of PREPAK issued by its Assistant Secretary of Publicity and Propaganda Leibak-ngakpa Luwang, the mention of "PREPAK" in the Governor's address emphasizing on some valley-based outfits signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Government was totally unfounded and misleading.
The outfit has no faith in the so-called "peace talks" and it has never consented to signing any MoU with the Indian Government.
It further clarified that some "half-baked" revolutionaries and deserters are only interested in such talks.
The outfit stands firm to regain the lost "independence" of Manipur from the clutches of the Indian imperialists.
The "peace talks" are only a tool of the Indian authorities to deceive the people as it is evident from many such talks held in the past.
PREPAK also alleged the Indian Government of sponsoring "state terrorism" in Manipur by making its army and police personnel lob bombs, extort money and harass innocent civilians.
The people of Manipur have suffered greatly under the Indian rule, but they still have the revolutionary spirit to defy every obstacle and achieve their goal for "independence", it averred.
