Hazari and Tombi State polo tournament : MPSC-B, KPC-A enter SFs

Imphal, February 26 2015: MPSC-B and Khurai Polo Club (KPC)-A booked semi final berths after defeating their respective opponents in the ongoing 30th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament 2015, organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association (MHRPA) today at Imphal Pologround.

In the first match of the day, the police team claimed a convincing 7-2 win against Nambul Mapal Polo Club (NMPC) .

The match began with a brace from T Pradeepkumar in the first chukker.

In the second chukker, NMPC managed to pulled back a goal from S Abung but MPSC's H Abungkhuman and T Pradeepkumar added two more goals to help their team take a comfortable 4-1 lead.

The police team witnessed two more goals from M Vivekananda and T Pradeepkumar in the third chukker while O Suresh scored the second goal for NMPC in the same chukker.

H Abungcha again slotted in his second goal for MPSC-B in the final chukker to make the final scoreline 7-2 .

In another match of the day, Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CHPC)-A lost 7-4 against Khurai Polo Club (KPC)-A .

P Ojit of KPC-A scored the opening goal followed by a brace in the first and second chukker notching up 3 goals for the Khurai team.

On the other side, a double strike from L Kokeshwor in the second and third chukker pull back two goals for CHPC-A.However KPC's T Roshan and O Roger added two more goals to make the scoreline 5-2 at the end of the third chukker.

In the final chukker, CHPC-A witnessed two more goals from L Alangba and Th Kaoba but KPC-A's P Ojit and T Roshan banged in one goal each to seal the match 7-4 in their favour.
