Myanmarese visitors taken on a tour of historic Moirang

The visiting Myanmarese delegates taking part in the Manipur Sangai Festival 2013 on Friday visited various touristic spots including the INA Complex at Moirang in Bishnupur district.
The delegates accompanied by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh and a group of ministers, including Union DONER Minister Paban Kumar Ghatowar first arrived at the INA (Indian National Army) Complex in the morning where they enjoyed the view of the historic Moirang Kangla and the magnificent replica of INA.
There, they offered floral tribute to the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
The team also had a glimpse of the INA War Museum.
Afterwards, they visited the beautiful tourist spot Sendra and then Loktak Lake, the largest fresh water lake in northeast India.
Also, they took a trip around the lake on motor boats.
The Myanmarese team was led by U Yi Myint, Chief Minister of Mandalay Region, U Thar Aye, Chief Minister of Sagaing Region.
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam, Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar, PHED Minister I Hemochandra, Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism M Prithviraj, Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga and DGP of Manipur Police MK Das accompanied the Myanmarese delegates during the trip.
Myanmarese private airliner, Golden Myanmar with 165 passengers, including Myanamrese-Manipuris and 100 delegates headed by the Chief Ministers of Mandalay and Sagaing arrived at the Imphal Tulihal Airport yesterday in a historic maiden international chartered flight to take part in the 10-day premier festival of Manipur.
