Mao bodies decry frequent transfer

Imphal, July 20 2021: Mao Students' Union (MSU) and Mao Union Imphal (MUI) have condemned and expressed strong resentment over the frequent transfer and posting of MPS officer Ch Adani Mao.

In a joint release, MSU and MUI stated that frequent and unscheduled transfers lead to numerous other complications and problems, resulting in hardship and demoralisation for the government officials.

Therefore, transfer policy should be reasonable, fair and should apply to everybody equally.

But, in the case of Ch Adani Mao, he was first posted as AIG (Provision) on February 20, posted as SP Kamjong on March 10, given new posting as Home Guard CO on June 18 and on July 16 transferred for the fourth time this year as MPTC Pangei assistant director, the joint release pointed.

The Mao bodies expressed their deep concern over the treatment meted out to the officer, while requesting the chief minister and the state government to intervene and ensure that he is given a fair treatment and that the posting be given a proper period of time as per the transfer policy.
