Sekmai AC sees record vaccination of 1064 beneficiaries

Sekmai AC MLA H Dingo has claimed that his constituency recorded the highest Covid vaccination per day with 1064 people getting the jab on Tuesday.
While speaking during inspection of vaccination programmes at some sites in Sekmai assembly constituency, MLA Dingo also urged all concerned not to play low level politics in the initiatives taken up for containing Covid-19 pandemic.
Saving the precious lives of the people is the top priority, he stated, while adding that development is inevitable if people don't fall sick or die.
Informing that 45 vaccination programmes have been organised in the constituency till now, Dingo said that more than 11,000 eligible people have been administered Covid vaccine so far and further aims to vaccinate every eligible person in the constituency.
The 46th phase of RAT testing was also conducted and 700 households were covered under the house-to-house testing drive in the constituency, he added.
Regarding distribution of edibles to people in containment zones, MLA Dingo said that relief items have been continuously provided to households that are declared as containment zones.
While urging to contact him if there is any need, Dingo lauded the people for the high turnout in the vaccination programme held at several places of the constituency including Sekmai Kangjeibung Upper Primary School and Magic Parking Sekmai Khunnou.
Meanwhile, 500 people were administered Covid vaccine during a vaccination programme organised by Apunbagi Thouna Village Level Federation Sanjenbam Lamlai cluster Imphal East ICD block under Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission and CMO Imphal East at Nongpok Sanjenbam community hall.
In all 500 people from Sanjenbam Khunou, Sanjenbam Khullen, Sanjenbam Sangshabi and Sanjenbam Kambongpat came to the vaccination programme for inoculation.
