Imphal, July 20 2021:
Trained Nurses' Association of India (TNAI), Manipur State Branch has informed that its plan to protest by wearing black badges from July 21 to 28 and ceasing work from July 29 in pursuance of the demand for increasing grade pay and nursing allowance has been suspended due to the ongoing total curfew imposed in the state.
Mentioning about suspension of the protest in a memorandum submitted to the Chief Secretary, TRAI Manipur State Branch said that it has resolved to drop the protest plan in view of the 10-day total curfew imposed for containing the spread of Covid-19 pandemic in the state.
Expressing hope that the government will fulfil their demands when there is still time, TRAI Manipur State Branch cautioned of launching the agitation if the government fails to honour their demands.
