Imphal, August 06 2020:
The Uripok Apunba Lup (UAL) has concluded that after due deliberations, the plan of CRPF Officials to convert the Ramakrishna Mission School, Uripok as an exclusive COVID Care Centre for the troops of CRPF is impractical and unacceptable.
The statement by UAL informed that some days back, CRPF official from Group Centre Langjing had approached Maharaj Nareshananda of Ramakrishna Mission School to seek his consent to convert the school complex to a COVID Care Centre exclusively for the troops of CRPF who are affected by the virus.
The Maharaj had communicated the same to the local populace through the local club and after much deliberation, it was decided that the plan is impractical as the locality around the school area is crowded and setting up of a COVID Care Centre poses security hazard and contagion threat to the people of the area, it stated.
Further, UAL also implored the State Administration not to entertain any request of CRPF authority to convert Ramakrishna Mission School or any other school in a crowded area, into an exclusive COVID Care Centre for uniformed personnel.
