CCPur, August 06 2020:
The All Manipur Border Area Development Association (AMBADA) has today reiterated its opposition to the new guidelines that require villages to donate land to the Government for implementation of the border development program - BADP, in the state.
Claiming that the Villages Authorities have been implementing the development programme, fully funded by the centre for many years, AMBADA added that there is not a single case of land dispute wherever it is implemented till date.
It further alleged that the new guidelines are merely stratagems to legally grab tribal land in broad daylight and therefore lacks merit.
It is simply not justifiable and unacceptable, it said.
