Imphal, September 02 2021:
All Manipur Recognized Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has urged the State Government to resume offline teaching for classes 9 to 12 with limited students and in strict adherence to the SOPs for COVID-19. Addressing the media at Sega Road today, AMRPSWA joint secretary P Romen stated that physical classes have already been started in certain States.
Saying that the number of Covid infections and deaths is declining since the past few days, he urged the Government to consider reopening school for classes 9 to 12 by limiting the number of students on each day to 15 (approx) on a rotational basis.
This measure can be run for a few days on a trial mode, he said.
Romen also appealed to the State Government to sanitise the schools which have been operating as quarantine centres and to vaccinate the teaching and non teaching staff of schools.
