Imphal, October 30 2013:
Strongly opposing the government's policy in posting two unqualified headmasters who are inefficient in maintaining their duties at Ningthoukhong Model High School Bishnupur, Parents Association of the school urged the government to take up measures so that quality education can be delivered to the students under a well qualified headmaster's administration.
.PKumarjit, president of Parents Association of Ningthoukhong Model High School told media at Manipur Press Club that the the two headmasters posted at the school are O.Nabachandra and L.Sanatomba, of which O.Nabachandra has been serving as the headmaster in-charge for many years while L.Sanatomba is newly posted.
The parents appealed the government not to involve politics in catering of education to students and that education should be kept free zone.
The parents association feels that the school has turned into a training ground for amateurs like the two unqualified headmasters of the school.
They are unaware of the fact that education under inexperienced heads will not be successful in delivering fruitful knowledge.
The association feels that the school needs only one well qualified headmaster so that the school can produce quality students who are the pillars of the nation.
The parents' association along with the students and civil organizations has decided to take up stringent agitations if the government fails to look into the matter and provide for the demand, i.e removal of the two existing headmasters and replacing them with an able and qualified headmaster within 15 days.
More than 200 students are enrolled in the school which has a total of 21 teachers.
