Kut greeting

Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Th Lokeshwar Singh and Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) have conveyed heartiest greetings to the Kut-ing family of the State on the auspicious occasion of Kut which falls on Nov 1 .
Stating that Kut festival is a symbol of peace and harmony among the different sections of the people, the Assembly Speaker, in a greeting, called upon all concerned to give up ill-will and animosity.
Extending 'Kut Chibai' to all people of the State particularly the Chin-Kuki-Mizo communities, a greeting message issued by General Secretary of KIM, Khaimang Chongloi said the advent of the auspicious day reminded the past glorious days of their ancestors when they live peacefully and independently in one and stood boldly against the British invaders who attempted to conquer their land.
Calling upon the Chin-Kuki-Mizo brethren and people of the State to shed communal hatred and stand unitedly for the peaceful coexistence and prosperous future of the multi-cultural State.
It further urged the concerned authority to take up tight security measure while appealing all sections of the society to not to disturb the joyful mood of the Kut and to extend fullest cooperation towards the success of the celebration.
