Greetings Extended on Id-Ul-Zuha

On the auspicious occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha to be celebrated across the globe on October 6, the Governor of Manipur Dr.KK Paul has greeted the people of Manipur, especially the Muslim brethren residing in the state.
"May the festival promote tolerance, harmony and goodwill amongst the people of the state", said the Governor's message.
Okram Ibobi, the chief minister of Manipur has also extended warm greetings on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha, which commemorates the supreme sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim for the sake of mankind.
Saying that the joy of sharing and charity associated with the festival promotes the love and compassion to serve the poor and needy, the chief minister's message has wished the people of Manipur to unite in a spirit of common brotherhood for the cause of humanity.
In connection with the festival of 'Id-Ul-Zuha', President of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has also wished the Muslim community of Manipur that the festival may bring a peaceful, prosperous and tension-free Manipur.
In a message, the Pradesh Congress president said Id-Ul-Zuha is a festival marking the sacrifice and devotion to God Allah.
Extending his greetings to the Muslims of the state on this auspicious occasion, Member of Parliament Dr..TMeinya has also wished for a peaceful and prosperous Manipur.
Haji Abdul Salam, the lone Rajya Sabha member from Manipur, has extended his greetings and good wishes to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha to be celebrated on Tuesday.
In his message, Abdul Salam hoped that the occasion would bring in peace, prosperity, happiness and progress.
In his message to the people of Manipur, Agriculture Minister Md.Abdul Nasir, has also extended his heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha.
Parliamentary Secretary (MOBC&SC, Sc.
& Tech) Md.Amin Shah who is also the chairperson of Manipur State Haj Committee, while giving his message to the people of the state, has wished for an increased love and compassion among various communities of Manipur with the coming of Id-Ul-Zuha, which marks the sacrifice and faith.
Th.Shyamkumar, President of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress and MLA, Andro assembly constituency, has wished the citizens of the state especially the Muslim brothers and sisters a happy and joyous days with the coming of the festival.
United Committee Manipur (UCM) has also conveyed its wishes for a unified and peaceful Manipur on the occasion of the Id-Ul-Zuha festival of people following the Islam faith.
'Let this festival give the strength to the people of Manipur to defend their territorial integrity and unity', said the UCM message.
Several organisations including Manipuri Students Federation (MSF), All Manipur Muslim Students' Organisation (AMMSO), All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) and BJP Kishan Morcha Manipur Pradesh have extended their greetings on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha.
