Bronze Medalist Sanathoi, Coach Ibomcha feted

The 17th Incheon Asian Games bronze medalist Yumnam Sanathoi and her Coach, Moirangthem Ibomcha have been felicitated during a function organised by Amateur Institute of Wushu Thoubal District today at the Residence of Parliamentary Secretary MI & IPR, K.Meghachandra at Yairipok Bishnunaha Mayai Leikai.
Yumnam Sanothoi bagged one bronze medal in Wushu event.
The reception function was attended by K.Meghachandra Singh, Parliamentary Secy.
MI & IPR Govt.of Manipur and M.Ibotombi Khuman, President, Amateur Institute of Wushu Thoubal District (AIWTD) & BDO, Tuibong as Chief Guest and President, while Dr..MRajendro Singh, Retd.DVO and L.Rajendro Singh, Secy.
All Yairipok Club Organisation (AYCO) were the Guests of honour respectively.
Being the first Manipuri to win a medal in the Asian Games at Incheon, Y.Sanathoi wanted to give all credits to her parents and coaches who had helped her in winning such prestigious medal.
Expressing regret for failing to achieve gold medal in the championship, Sanathoi said, I did not have much time for preparation and consultation with coaches.
She however believed that she would surely win a gold medal in the upcoming World Sanshou Cup due to be held in Indonesia.
