Imphal east district police had killed 35 undergrounds, recovered 75 arms with 388 rounds of ammunitions apart from arresting 386 activists of different underground groups during the year 2009 ended today.
A total of 815 cases including three transferred cases where registered during the year under report.
Out of this total, 328 FR, 10 CS and two draft cases were disposed leaving 475 cases pending.
Achievement of the Imphal east district police release by the SP, Th Radheshyam of the district today further stated that during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2009, the district police killed 35 activists of different underground groups.
Among them, three were RPF/PLA, two were UNLF, nine were KCP, five were PREPAK, 12 were PULF and one each was MNRF, UMPC and two others.
A total of 386 underground activists were arrested.
They include 29 PLA/RPF, 15 UNLF, 154 KCP, 30 KYKL, 59 PREPAK, two each of NSCN(IM), NSCN(K), UKLF, KRA and UNPC, 39 UPPK, 18 UKRA, five UNPC, four MDF (KYKL), one each of MNRF, KRF, GPRN and 11 others.
A total of 75 arms with 388 live rounds recovered.
The seized weapons include 11 AK-56 with 163 live rounds, one each of SM Carbine, M-16 rifles with nine rounds, 38-9 mm pistols with 114 rounds, six .32 pistols with 22 live rounds, two 7.65 mm pistols with 22 live rounds, two 7.65 mm pistols with seven live rounds, five .32 revolvers with 12 rounds, four each of lathod launcher guns and M-70 pistols with eight and 13 rounds and M-21 rifles with 10 live rounds and 10 live rounds of SLR 7.62 mm ammunitions.
Two extra magazines of AK-56 rifles, one magazine .32 pistol, four 36 HE Hand Grenades, 16 Chinese Hand Grenades, one each of detonator, wireless set, eight mobile handset, six motorcycles, one computer set, four van/auto-rickshaw and 60 kgs of sliver electric wire also seized during the period, the statement added.
A total of thirteen persons � two PLA, one UNLF, four PREPAK, three each of KCP and PULF- were detained under NSA.
The district police also collected Rs 1,70,000 as fine from 1200 cases related with traffic regulation.
One case of seizure of contraband 120 kgs of ganja also registered with the arrest of one person.
Twelve SP tablet also recovered and Rs 2,26,700 money in cash also recovered during the period under report, the SP claim in the statement.
