Imphal, October 17 2015 :
The statement jointly signed by proscribed KYKL Chairman N Oken and KCP President Ksh Laba Meitei observed that if there is no deep analysis and tangible change made in the current situation of Kengleipak and WESEA revolutionary struggles, there is the possibility of imminent dent in the movement.
This calls for revolutions within the revolutionary movements, said the statement.
The change must not be superficial; it must be a true change equivalent to correct revolutionary measures.
This is why there is a necessity to adopt "revolutionary socialism" so as to protect the people and envision a collective national future, said the statement.
ASUK pointed out that the key to building a true relationship with the mass lies in how the revolutionary cadres and functionaries adopt true socialist character.
When this stage arrives, the revolution will honestly belong to the people and achieve victory, observed ASUK.
The alliance said forfeiting selfishness and becoming true socialists can be the only foundation for the successful unification of all revolutionary organisations.
One of the main causes of the failure of launching unified revolutionary movement in the WESEA region is the leaders of certain national groups with their own proud histories have become obsessed with the same histories which annihilated their dreams, pointed out ASUK.
The inability of revolutionary groups to make the same histories deal with the current situation has been one of the weaknesses.
This primarily means the inadequacy of the groups to properly analyse "Historical Dialectics", said the statement.
In an effort to make best use of the advantages given by the colonial power under the influence of some common people, the groups are not fighting the real enemies but their own friends.
ASUK said this has created a wall against the process of unification.
The unity of struggles in WESEA can be achieved only when such thoughts are dismantled.
Respecting all ethnic nationalities while stressing on living with equality and a true "Ethnic Democracy" can bring about the foundation of unification, argued ASUK.
60 and 70 years of revolutionary movements in WESEA region have proved that only a unified struggle can truly liberate the people and fragmented struggle will only act as obstruction to revolutionary goals.
Those who are against the unification of struggles in WESEA region cannot be called revolutionaries, asserted ASUK.
Based on these thoughts and in an effort to bring about unification of all movements in WESEA for achieving equality of all, KCP and KYKL have set up the Alliance for Socialist Unity, Kangleipak (ASUK).
To usher in true "Scientific Socialism", ASUK also appealed other groups to join the alliance, said the statement.
