Leesana Foundation donates food items to Yaibilen Home

Continuing with its set objectives of reaching out to the needy, the Leesana Foundation on Saturday openhandedly donated assortment of food items to the inmates of Yaibilen Home at Keibi Sanapat in Imphal East.
The noble gesture of the foundation is part of the initiatives launched by the parents and immediate family members of late Soubam Leesana, also known as Rison, who was a resident of Sega Road Konjeng Hazarika Leikai, Imphal West.
Leesana, a philanthropist by nature and upbringing, always wanted to help the deprived sections of the society during his life time.
The foundation was set up in fond memory of Soubam Leesana who died in a road mishap near Maibam Lotpa Ching along the Tiddim road on March 21, 2015 .

During the distribution of food items at Yaibilen Home, Leesana Foundation President Soubam Anilkumar said Leesana always had a desire to donate his time and money to the needy.
Leesana never wanted to underrate people in need and he was always ready to lend a hand to the underprivileged sections of the society, Anilkumar said.
The foundation will continue to provide such aids to other Children Homes, Old Age Homes and Homes for the destitutes across the State, Anilkumar added.
He also said the foundation has an aim to initiate various activities based on Leesana's line of thinking in an effort to bring about welfare for the society.
Yaibilen Home management committee chairman Yangoi Piba expressed unhappiness that the Manipur Government has never extended any help to the Home which was set up back in 1992 .
He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Leesana Foundation for extending a helping hand to the inmates of the Home.
Piba wished all the success in its future endeavour and activities.
A two-minute silence was observed by everyone present in the Home praying for the noble and warm soul of Leesana to rest in peace.
