Imphal, July 03 2021:
Thangmeiband Ward no 1 ex-corporator Gaidon Gangmei has informed that funds under PMAY scheme for 21 beneficiaries are in process of being deposited for the first phase, while 261 beneficiaries have been photographed with other 301 beneficiaries waiting to be snapped.
Addressing a press meet held at Neikan-long on Saturday, Gaidon said that around 800 beneficiaries from Ward no 1 had applied for the government's flagship programme of PMAY (Housing for all).
For the first phase, 21 beneficiaries have been selected and the money was deposited in their respective accounts on June 30 .
He then urged the said beneficiaries to take up the construction work at earliest so as to be eligible for the second phase.
"However, 173 beneficiaries who have applied for the scheme are yet to submit the relevant documents such as Aadhaar card, bank account information and land deed.
As such, the documents should be submitted by coming Monday, for which a notice will soon be issued", he added.
Assuring to deliver the benefits to all beneficiaries of Ward no, 1 who are mentioned in the list to the best of his ability; the ex-corporator urged the people not to believe groundless rumours, while refuting all claims made regarding corrupt practices and misdoings of the Ward no 1 corporator.
The truth in the case could be ascertained from the beneficiaries themselves, Gaidon asserted.
