13 deaths, 689 more positive cases reported in last 24 hours
Daily positivity rate hits a high of 15.5 percent

Imphal, July 03 2021:
With 689 persons returning positive results out of 4443 samples tested in the last 24 hours, Manipur recorded a high of 15.5 percent daily positivity rate, making it the highest so far in the month of July, which is only into its third day.
The positivity rate for the whole month of June is 10.8 percent while for the three days of July it is 13.5 percent.
The 15.5 percent positivity rate on a single day is also the second highest taking the month of June into consideration.
On June 21, Manipur had recorded a single day positive rate of 15.54 percent.
The high count of positivity rate continues even after Manipur has been under different tags such as containment, curfew, restrictions etc since April 29.Even now the State is yet to fully open and markets are closed with no commercial activities.
Keeping in line with the high positivity rate, Manipur recorded 689 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, including 6 Central security personnel.
Out of the 683 civilians, 351 were women.
With 689 more cases reported, the cumulative figure of positive cases in the State has climbed to 71,643 including 3854 Central security personnel.
Manipur also saw deaths in double digit with 13 more falling prey to the virus in the last 24 hours to take the cumulative figure of deaths due to the virus to 1188.Quoting the State Level COVID-19 Death Audit Committee, the COVID-19 Common Control Room, said that the deceased persons belonged to Imphal West (4), Imphal East (3), Thoubal (1), Kakching (2), Kangpokpi (1) and Churachandpur (2).They passed away at RIMS (3), JNIMS (5), Raj Medicity (2), Shija Hospital (1) and Churachandpur District Hospital (2) .
The 683 civilians who tested positive are from Imphal East (138), Imphal West (247), Thoubal (62), Bishnupur (67), Kakching (31), Ukhrul (2), Churachandpur (90), Chandel (2), Senapati (10), Tengnoupal (11), Pherzawl (15), Jiribam (2), Noney (2) and Kangpokpi (4) .
On the other hand, 520 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours including from home isolation (201), RIMS (18), JNIMS (2), CCCs (119) and CHICs (180) .
The cumulative number of people who have recovered is 64,329 including 3786 Central security personnel and the number of active cases is 6126 including 63 Central security personnel.
The recovery rate now stands at 89.79 percent.
The number of people vaccinated on July 2 is 23,583 while the total number of people who have been inoculated is 7,05,693 and out of this total 85,275 have received their second dose as well.
Once again the COVID-19 Common Control Room has asked anyone whose oxygen level falls below 94 pc to immediately seek medical help or shift to a Covid Care Centre.
