The same issue is also being faced in different parts of the globe.

But today, many women writers have come up highlighting various issues of women and the problems faced by them.
These women writers have gradually gained public support and the status of women has changed for the better.
Khagendra went on to point out that women play a very important role in Manipur society.
Women of the state are engaged in the economic development of the state by selling goods in the market.
Irom Chanu Sharmila is fasting over the demand of repealing AFSPA for the last 11 years.
There are also many Manipuri women writers who have received the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award.
Vishwanath Prashad Tiwari, who was also present and spoke on the occasion, said that it was indeed a pleasure to see many women writers from different parts of the country participating in the two-day long seminar.
A society can only developed to the fullest if both man and woman enjoys equal rights and they are treated on equal terms.
So, women writers need to focus more on the problems faced by women in the society and highlight them to the general public.
