Awareness cum blood donation camp held

Imphal, November 12 2018:
International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) organized a one day awareness cum blood donation camp at the Department of Transfusion Medicine, RIMS today.
Around 50 volunteers of the organisation took part in the camp which began around noon and continued till late in the evening.
Speaking to media persons, IPSA president Joychandra Konthoujam conveyed that IPSA has been organizing various awareness programmes and free hea}th camps at different places of the State, particularly in the remote areas where medical attention is poor and unattended.
He went on to inform that IPSA started such welfare initiatives from last year with a strong commitment to make a healthy and vibrant society.
The awareness cum mega blood donation camp is part of IPSA's objective to establish a healthy society, he said and expressed belief that the units of blood donated today will save lives of many people.
He further informed that IP SA will soon organize such camps at Tamenglong, Senapati and Tengnoupal districts while asserting that similar events were earlier held at Jiribam and Churachandpur districts and at Keibul Lamjao as well.
