BJP observes 37th Foundation Day; Chief Minister N.Biren assures solutions to prevent harassment of pensioners

Imphal, April 06 2017: BJP Manipur Pradesh today celebrates its 37th Foundation Day at its head office at Nityapat Chuthek, Imphal.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Nongthongbam Biren said that the BJP led coalition government in the state will be a stable one and will go on for over 20 years in the state.

He said his government top priority is to serve the people by restoring peace and normalcy across the state.

The Chief Minister expressed his pain in seeing old pensioners who had retired from service standing in queue either in the summer heat or in the rainy days in front banks to get their pension.

"They are our elders who brought us up and we have to respect them.

I am shocked to see them standing in front of bank besides their old age to get their pension", N.Biren said.

He further added that his government will make a mechanism to prevent giving harassment to aged pensioners.

For that he had called all the authorities of Treasury office and banks to work out after consultation with the Finance secretary, Biren added.

On the relationships between the Hill people and the plain people, the Chief Minister said that after the new government has proved its efficiency, the once broken ties between various communities of the state has been fixed now.

"Today the new government has built trust among the various community of the state.

I am being invited at Ukhrul district for reception, the students and civil body of Senapati and Churachandpur district had come to my office to convey their greetings and blessing.

Even the neighbor state Nagaland had expressed their believe that peace and harmony will be restored in the region", the Chief Minister said.

Recalling on how the BJP led government has fulfill its promises by bringing an end to the prolong economic blockade, Biren said that works which were left undone by the past government for 15 years are completed in 15 days by his government.

About the problem of JAC Churachandpur, the chief minister said that his government has already started sening feeler to talk with them and assures that the problem will be sorted out soon.

Promising that he as a chief minister will not do anything for his own, Biren said that every thing will be done for the development of the state and whatever things taken up will be consulted with the karyakatas of the BJP.

Biren also said that as of now the newly open anti-corruption cell has received 300/400 complaints.

All those complaints have been well monitored and directed its respective police station to initiate investigation.

The Chief Minister also appealed the majority Meitei community to play brotherhood role to restore the love bondage between various community of the state.

General Secretary Administration of BJP Manipur Pradesh who is also the PWD Minister Thongam Biswajit in his speech thanks the BJP leaders and the workers for their sincerity.

He appealed the people to give co-operation to the BJP led government.

President of the BJP Manipur Pradesh Ksh Bhavananda, Former Chief Minister Radhabinod Koijam, Senior BJP leader Th Chaoba among others attended the foundation day function as dignitaries.
