District administration working to provide amenities to relief camps

The district administration is working round the clock to provide all basic amenities to the evacuated persons at temporary relief camps in the district.
Continuous efforts are undertaken to provide food, water, health and sanitation facilities in the relief camps.
Adequate security personnel have been deployed to protect the public and critical/vital infrastructure of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner is in continuous coordination with all the forces in the district and special emphasis has been taken to ensure civil supplies and essential items reach the general public sufficiently.
Also, the district administration is in constant communication with the civil society organisations in the district to prevent any miscommunication and untoward incidents.
Apart from making available food and other essential items, the district administration has been putting all out efforts to keep the situation under control and contained.
Due to the continuous efforts taken by the district administration, the law and order situation has improved and no breach of peace has been reported in the last 24 hours.
In a move to help the general public, curfew was relaxed for 3 hours between 7 am to 10 am today.
As a confidence building measure, security forces took out a flag march on foot today around Churachandpur town along with district police and civil administration led by the Deputy Commissioner Sharath Arroju.
Pradeep Kumar Jha, Commissioner, Government of Manipur and Kabib K, IGP are stationed in the district from May 4 to oversee and supervise the measures taken up in the district.
