MSU expresses gratitude to CM

The Mao Students' Union (MSU) has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N Biren Singh and his esteemed team for choosing Makhel in Senapati for the construction of the Tribal Freedom Fighters Memorial Museum.
A press release issued by the union said that the construction of Tribal Freedom Fighters Memorial Museum at Makhel is a clear indication of "Go to Hill" and "Go to Village" missions of the incumbent Manipur Government.
The farsighted and sagacity of this sort will bring a healing touch to the valley and the hills for peace, progress and development, it added.
The student�s union also said that Makhel is easily accessible to the public and potential tourists as it lies between NH 2 (erstwhile NH 39) and Trans Asian Highway I (under construction) .
Saying that Makhel village has also generously donated 23.6 acres of land for the project, it added that Makhel and its vicinity are an ideal place for construction of the Tribal Freedom Fighters Memorial Museum, Manipur.
"Further, construction of the Tribal Freedom Fighters Memorial Museum is fitted well with the objectives of Act East Policy.
The Government of India is vigorously advocating the policy not just as a means of connectivity and economic development for the Northeast Region but considered as an important diplomatic tool to connect Southeast Asian nations," it added.
The union also expressed confidence the construction of the Tribal Freedom Fighters Memorial Museum at Makhel will be completed within the stipulated time.
