On the other hand, Pallel Tata Wingers Owners and Drivers Welfare Association has decided to file a criminal contempt of Court case against Indo-Burma-Sugnu Road Bus Owners Welfare Association for defying the order of the Court and prohibiting issuing of contract carriage permit to Tata Wingers.
Speaking to media persons in this regard, advocate Kh Tarunkumar informed that a single bench of Gauhati High Court passed an order on February 13, 2013 directing the concerned authority of the State Government to discuss and take a decision over the issue of providing contract carriage permit to Tata Wingers plying along Imphal-Pallel via Burma-Sugnu road.
But instead of respecting the court order, Indo-Burma-Sugnu Road Bus Owners Welfare Association has resorted to blocking roads and threatening to launch various intense agitations if the State Government issues carriage permit to any vehicle except buses along Burma-Sugnu road before a definite Transport policy is formulated.
This is nothing but total violation of the court order.
