Triple Murder Case:: Killers rob victims of Rs 30,000

In the argument hearing proceedings of the case, CC no.36/2010- CBI Versus Hopeson Ningshen, which is related to the abduction and subsequent killing of Dr Thingnam Kishan, who was then the SDO of Kasom Khullen in Ukhrul district and two of his sub-ordinate staffs, namely Revenue Mandal Yumnam Token and driver A Rajen Sharma, Sr Public Prosecutor AK Singh today tried to establish the fact that NSCN-IM cadres who abducted Dr Kishan and his two sub-ordinate staffs were robbed of an amount of Rs.30,000 that was sanctioned to meet the expenses of the visit of of then Works Minister K.Ranjit to Kasom Khullen on February 14, 2009 .
In order to prove that AK Singh referred to the statements of various prosecution and defence witnesses including Pankaj Kumar Pal, then Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul district.
After the completion of recording the statements 43 prosecution witnesses and 2 defence witnesses, argument hearing of the case has been going on since October 3 at Patiala Court, Delhi with ND Pancholi as the defence counsel.
The argument would conclude tomorrow.
It may be recalled here that Dr Kishan and his two sub-ordinate staffs were abducted from near the office of Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul district in the morning of February 13, 2009 and their bodies were found four days after at a place in Senapati district.
Hopeson Ningshen, who held the rank of a Lt Colonel in NSCN (IM) then, has been named as the main accused in the case while three co-accused namely Yuhar alias Abo Chibo of Chuinem or Tainem village under Somtal Police Station of Ukhrul district, SK Them Horshang alias Themshang of Apong village under Kamjong police station of the same district and one Johni whose resident is yet to know are still at large.
