Imphal, October 10 2013 :
Continuing its sharp vigil and to stop criminals dictating terms and communicating with their associates outside the jail with the help of mobile phones, the staff and personnel of Sajiwa Jail foiled the bid of Ng Brojendro, one of the seven accused in the Pallel drug seizure case of February 24 this year, to smuggle in two SIM cards, one Airtel and one Reliance inside the jail yesterday, after the NDPS Court remanded them to judicial custody yesterday, following the cancellation of the bail by the Manipur High Court.
Talking to The Sangai Express, a reliable source said that Ng Brojendro tried to smuggle in the two SIM cards hidden inside a large number of books which he had brought along to ostensibly read while in jail.

Ng Brojendro, an erstwhile Assistant Manager with Indigo Airlines along with four others, including former PRO of PIB (Defence Wing) Col Ajay Choudhry, Seikholen Haokip, RK Babloo and Lunkhohao Haokip were sent to Judicial custody yesterday after the Manipur High Court cancelled their bail on October 3 .
Two others, Letminlal Haokip and Jangminthang Tuboi however failed to turn up before the Court yesterday.
While six of them were apprehended with a huge consignment of Pseudoephedrine drugs at Pallel on February 24, Seikholen Haokip was picked up from his residence the next day.
