8 MR to house KCP Lallumba group's designated camp

The state Cabinet has approved the proposed talks with the KCP (Lallumba) group.
The designated camp of the group would be opened on the campus of 8 MR at Leikul in Chandel district.
Spokesperson of the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) government and Minister of IFCD and YAS, N Biren told the Hueiyen Lanpao that the Cabinet meeting held today at the conference hall of the Chief Minister's secretariat with Chief Minister O Ibobi in the chair resolved that once the talks between the group and the government concluded, the cadres of the group would be provided vocational training under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India outside the state.
The Commissioner, Home, Government of Manipur would represent the state and the Union governments during the tripartite talks.
The Cabinet also approved allocating Rs 106 crore from Special Plan Assistance (SPA) for the sewerage project being taken up in the Imphal Municipality areas, the spokesperson said.
The proposal was made by PHED Minister with a view to completing the project as early as possible.
Minister Biren said that the Cabinet has approved post creation and appointment of 17 lecturers of Science for the Pettigrew College at Ukhrul where the Science stream would be opened.
The Cabinet also approved opening of Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre on HIV/AIDS in all five districts.
It was agreed that four posts will be opened in each of the five districts.
As regards the legal service, the earlier Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal, who looked after both Imphal East and Imphal West districts, would now be empowered separately as Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal East and Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West, Minister Biren said.
