Acting CJ disappointed over lack of progres

Visiting Acting Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Justice Ranjan Gogoi today expressed disappointment over the slow progress in the construction works of the High Court complex at Chingmeirong Lei-ingkhol which 30 percent of the works was found completed.
The Acting Chief Justice arrived here in Imphal yesterday on his visit in the state capital.
As soon as he arrived here, he inspected the construction works of the court complex as a component of the state capitol project at Chingmeirong Lei-inkhol.
His inspection was accompanied by Justice T Nandakumar, Justice K Meruno, president of the High Court Bar Association, senior advocate Th Ibohal, secretary, N Jotindro, registrar of the Imphal Bench of the Gauhati High Court, Ng Phajang and deputy registrar.

The construction works of the high court complex is handling by a Kolkata based farm, Simplex Infrastructure Limited.
Commenting on the little progress in the construction works after the officials of the state PWD briefed, Ranjan expressed disappointment on the slow progress.
Mention may be made that the foundation stone of the high court complex was laid four year back on April 30, 2006 .
Seven court rooms including one for the Chief Justice are to be constructed in the complex among others.
The Acting Chief Justice asked his under rank judges taking part in the inspection to hold consultation with state government authority for speeding up the construction works by sorting out all the problems ahead of the implementing agencies.
