Imphal, August 29 2016:
The Bharatiya Janata Party said it will launch different agitation to abort the fresh recruitment process of Manipur Police Constable (male) to be held on August 30 at Pangei.
BJP State unit spokesperson S Tiken in a press meet held at the party's office at Nityaipat today said the party members including MLAs from different constituencies will all reach Pangei by 8 am tomorrow and launch different forms of agitation to stop the recruitment process.
While decrying the cancellation of all the recruitment process taken up so far and the decision to initiate fresh recruitment by the Home Department, Tiken said the State Government should have set off an investigation into the matter instead of calling for fresh recruitment.

The State Government, by suppressing the issue instead of solving them has invited general strikes, blockade and various other forms of protests.
Sit-in protests will also be held at the different Mandals against the fresh recruitment, the party spokesperson added.
MLA Th Bishwajit who also attended the press meet demanded the Okram Ibobi led Congress Government to produce a white paper on the issue.
The State Government should have made public the lapses and anomalies in the recruitment process of Manipur Police Constable 2013 batch (male) before the recruitment committee's Chairman took voluntary retirement, he lamented.
Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykishan and BJP spokesperson RK Shivachandra were also present at today's press meet.
