AMSU seizes Coca Cola bottles

Imphal, August 29 2016: AMSU volunteers have seized a number of Coca Cola bottles which are sold after manipulating the manufacturing dates.

AMSU volunteers seized a number of bottles of Coca Cola soft drinks from BSR Enterprises, MG Avenue.

BSR Enterprises is a shop run by Rajendra Singh of MG Avenue and RK Bedajit of Porompat.

Even though the actual manufacturing dates of the seized Coca Cola bottles (750 ml) were June 8, 2016, they were found modified as August 8, 2016 .

According to a salesman of the shop, the Coca Cola bottles were brought from Guwahati and Silchar.

AMSU finance secretary Johnson Takhellambam said that BSR Enterprises has been banned indefinitely.

After the seized Coca Cola bottles were handed over to City Police Station, Food Safety Department has started investigation into the matter, informed a source.
