MLA threatens woman

One Laishram Aboi of Keirak Tomal Makhong has alleged that his wife Laishram Ongbi Romita was threatened at gun point by MLA of Wabgai A/C, Dr Usham Deben yesterday at his own house.
Speaking to media persons, Aboi said that the MLA along with some of his workers came to Keirak Tomal Makhong in three Gypsies yesterday at around 10 pm.
At that time, he was enjoying bonfire with some friends.
Seeing the MLA, he fled, since the MLA had earlier told some of his friends that he (MLA) would not spare his life for speaking against him in public meetings.
Aboi recalled that after inquiry about his whereabouts, MLA came to his house.
Not finding him in his house, the MLA instead threatened his wife using his license gun.
Romita, who was also present during the press conference, informed that MLA came to their house at 10pm yesterday and enquired about her husband.
On learning that her husband was not in the house, the MLA took out his gun and threatened her.
The MLA also warned of finishing off her husband if he continues to speak against him in public meetings.
Meanwhile, a sit-in-protest was staged at the Community Hall in Keirak Keithel today, protesting against the conduct of the MLA.
A JAC christened as JAC Against the Undemocratic Action of U Deven, MLA Wabgai A/C has also been formed and adopted various resolutions.
