Imphal, December 18 2011:
Noting that the murder of Irilbung water supply chowkidar Ibomcha and his son Yaipu by KCP-MTF (Kesho Meitei group) in connection with monetary demand of Rs 20 lakhs served to PHED was a dastardly criminal act, the Coordination Committee of the KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), RPF, UNLF and UPPK have condemned the murder as anti-social and anti-revolutionary.
Murder and abduction for ransom committed in the name of revolutionary groups, particularly in the name of different groups of KCP is a double-edged policy aimed at terrorising the public and project the liberation movement in wrong light, the Corcom asserted in a press release.
Such criminal acts were mainly committed by those masked men who acted in the surrender dramas enacted by the Indian military particularly Assam Rifles for their own selfish ends.
Their targets are the underprivileged sections like workers, peasants and chowkidars.
The practice of murdering, abduction and planting bombs at the residences of small shopkeepers, Pradhans and Members in connection with monetary demands is contradictory to revolutionary ethics, it asserted.
Such criminal activities being perpetrated in Manipur Valley were carried out in connivance with security forces like AR and police commandos, it alleged.
The CorCom appealed to the mass to study the activities plotted by the alien rule with a design to pull away the people from the liberation movement by carrying out anti-social activities in the name of revolutionary organisations.
Claiming that the such anti-social activities can be checked effectively only when revolutionary groups gain strength and move forward the revolutionary movement, the CorCom pledged that all it member parties would strive to eliminate all those anti-social elements with support of the public.
